Measurement Instructions For inside mounting cell blind blackout windows, a minimum 2" window frame depth is required, with the width of the blackout shades needing to be 1/2" less than the window width. The length of the blinds needs to be 2 inches longer than the window length. For outside mounting mini shades, the blind needs to be 4 inches wider and longer than the window for better coverage.
